This Crystal Cove residence called for a landscape that would honor its Mediterranean architecture while embracing the relaxed coastal lifestyle of Newport Coast. The result is a series of garden rooms connected by meandering brick pathways.
The front entry sets the tone with meticulously clipped boxwood hedges framing beds of vibrant roses. The brick pathway, laid in a classic herringbone pattern, guides visitors through the property while providing visual warmth against the white stucco facade.
Throughout the landscape, we balanced formal elements—symmetrical plantings, geometric hedges, clay pots—with the informal beauty of climbing bougainvillea and coastal-adapted perennials. The effect is timeless yet welcoming.
